Jacob Gers is a Sound Designer & Audio Engineer for theatre, ballet, and opera. Originally from Greensboro, NC, he is now a third-year student at the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, where he's working to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatrical Sound Design & Technology. He is passionate about the theatre, and thoroughly enjoys a live musical, especially new works.

When it comes to sound design philosophy, Jacob prioritizes the enjoyment of the audience, ensuring that every piece of dialogue, note of music, or sound effect serves the story as well as the enjoyment of the audience. He also ensures that his sound is accessible to all, with extra thought given to hearing accessibility.

Off the clock, Jacob enjoys binge watching TV, nature, and a good book.
